About Nicole Finlayson

Director, Book the Bay

Nicole Finlayson is the founder and director of Book the Bay, a boutique holiday property facilitation service based in the heart of Port Stephens. With more than 35 years of experience across tourism, hospitality, and real estate, Nicole brings a rare depth of local knowledge and industry insight to everything she does.

Her career began in tourism sales and marketing, including senior leadership roles at Shoal Bay Resort (now Ramada), before transitioning into property management. In 2020, she combined her passions for hosting, strategy and service to launch Book the Bay—a business built on trust, personal connection and attention to detail.

Nicole takes a hands-on approach with every owner and guest. She believes that managing holiday properties is about more than logistics—it’s about creating memorable experiences, building long-term relationships, and taking pride in every home under her care.
