Outrigger canoeing is an important part of the culture of many Pacific Island nations incorporating important traditions.

There are more than 4000 registered outrigger paddlers in Australia and the sport is practiced in more than 50 other countries.

This exciting event will be held over 2 days based at Shoal Bay with all races finishing at the jetty opposite the Shoal Bay Country Club Hotel.

Races will take the outriggers out into the bay, along the coastline and to the outer islands. Tomaree Summit will be a great place to view the spectacle of canoes.
